LARGE 1/8 BENT FREEHAND
If you like large pipes, check out this 1/8 bent freehand with nice flowing lines. The mixed straight and flame grain flow nicely out of the bowl bottom while the selected rustication adorns the panels at the stem/bowl junction. A smaller pipe that has a good feel in the hand. The egg shaped bowl is partially rusticated in a medium stain. The top of the bowl is rusticated providing a nice contrast to the smooth upper bowl. STAMPING INFORMATION
All Kiess pipes have their representative red, white & blue dots representing Old Glory and signifying that they are American-made quality pipes.
The old stamping has the full names of Patriot, Heritage, and Ambassador but the new will be P for Patriot, H for Heritage and A for Ambassador. Within each series there will be three levels of quality such as P, PP, PPP in ascending levels of quality or size. Thus a AAA would be a pipe of stellar quality without any flaws, and with perfect grain. All Patriots will be rusticated or partially rusticated. A Heritage H could be partially rusticated but at a higher level of quality. Any H could have a few flaws such as tiny pits. All A’s will have no flaws. I will never put in fills.
